Alexander Wireen has shown the 60 m2 installation 16 feet tomb at Royal institute of art March 31 – April 9 2010. Look in portfolio for pictures from exhibition.
A man is guiding us through a slaughterhouse area which is about to be turned into residences: "But in here the animals where slaughtered, we believe nobody wants to live there ... We will turn that building into a storage." Regardless of the underlying mechanisms, most of us would agree upon that what has happened in a certain place affects how we perceive it. To further evolve this thought would be to question if this perceived feeling could also propagate to other areas and minds — areas and minds that is not in direct contact with the certain place in question. Would that mean that what happends to a single being or object at a distant place in the universe actually affects our perception of the world, if even in a very subtle way? Most welcome!
